Celebrating the desires of my heart! (AKA Mother’s Day)

One of the best text I got yesterday on Mother’s Day was from a dear friend of mine. She is the mother of 4 AMAZING boys and is due to have her 5th in October.  She is so wonderful and encouraging and this is part of the text that pretty much sums up Mother’s Day to me!

“It’s it awesome how we get a day to celebrate that God has granted us the desire of our heart!”

Yes! I love that.  Before I had three little ones running around. I had long desired to be a Mom. I anticipated each child that has been added to our family.  I’m sure when I was little I often told my mom that when I grow up I want to be a mommy!  It is awesome to be able to reflect and see how God has brought that desire into fruition.  It’s not always how we thought it was going to be and it isn’t perfect but it is just how God has planned.

This was the 2nd year that I made mother’s day corsages. A tradition I started last year. I made a corsage for my mother-in-law and myself  and a friend from church. It was fun to surprise my friend from church unexpectedly and pin the corsage on her!

I also made it a goal to get a picture with all three kids and me. No small tasks!

Here is first attempt (Norah is pouting because she wanted to take the picture in another room)

Norah was asked to leave the couch if we was going to pout

Norah comes back and Leeland tries to leave

About 20 pictures in we make something work!
